Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men seeks to quietly question seemingly innocuous life decisions by acknowledging privilege. Each characters' costume is laid out as not just a presentation of who they are, but of how their privilege has shaped them. Their understanding of their role in society is reflected in their individual style or lack thereof.
